Add New License Key

By clicking the blue “Add New License”, you will be able to create a new license that you can use to activate the plugin on new sites.

license key

As soon as you click, a new settings page will appear, holding all the important options regarding licenses.

How to Add a New License Key

  1. Check the “Key” License Type
  2. If you want to use the key on more than one site, select the number in “Maximum Active Sites”.
  3. Select how long the license will be valid for
  4. On the right-hand side of the screen, write a note to describe the licenses (optional)
  5. Add or remove any extra features that will be available for sites activated with this license
  6. Choose a rebranding package (optional)
  7. Click on the “Create and Activate License” button on the bottom of the page

add license

After you have created a license, you can go on to activate Coming Soon & Maintenance Mode.

Maximum Active Sites

The option is available only when the  License Type: Key is selected.

Enter the maximum number of active sites that can use this license key. While you can create 10 licenses with 10 sites max each (giving you a theoretical total of 100 active sites), you won’t be able to activate more sites than set by your purchase simultaneously.

For purchases with an unlimited number of active sites, the limit is 100 per license. For the next batch, you will have to create a new license and assign its maximum number of sites one more time.

Valid Until

Choose how long the currently edited license will be valid:

  • Forever – for lifetime products, this option makes the current license valid forever as well. For non-lifetime products, this option makes the current license valid until the date set by the product you purchase. For example, if you have subscribed to a product for only one year, setting this option to forever makes this license valid for that one year as well. In case you continue the subscription, the license will be automatically prolonged to the new date set by the date of purchase/subscription.
  • Pick a Date – Click on the date to open a calendar. Choose a date until you want the license to be valid. For example, if you want a specific license to be valid only for two weeks on the client’s website, you can set the date and forget about it.

Additional Info

  • Purchase / Product – if you have purchased more than one product from WebFactory, you will be able to select the product for which you want to write down additional notes.
  • Note – write a note to remind you about the details of this specific license. The note is visible only to you, so feel free to write anything you like.

Extra Features

  • Pro Themes – check the box to add the basic pack of themes
  • Agency Themes – check the box to add an additional pack of Agency themes to all sites that are activated with this license key.
  • Extra Themes – check the box to add more themes to the license
  • White Label – check the box to hide the license key info and WebFactory branding. All sites using this key will not be able to see the key. Also, those websites won’t show any traces of WebFactory.

Custom Branding

When you create custom brands, you will be able to select one that will become active on all sites activated with this license. Custom branding is applied as soon as the plugin is activated with this license.

When custom branding is enabled, the White Label feature has no effect.

Keyless Activation (Domain-based key)

By clicking the blue “Add New License” button, you will be able to create a new domain-based key that lets you activate a site without copying the generated license key.

Please note that this license works only for the specified domain and can’t be used on other sites. If you want to activate the plugin on another site, create a new domain-based license or create a key that can be used to activate up to 100 sites.

Also, please understand that this type of key does not work on localhosts.

Delete License

Since you get to create as many licenses as you want (and can, depending on your purchase), sooner or later you will need to remove some of the licenses that you no longer need or use.

How to Delete a License?

  1. Go to https://dashboard.comingsoonwp.com/ and log into your account
  2. From the left-hand side of the screen, select “Licenses”
  3. Find the licenses you would like to remove
  4. In the same row, find & click the trashcan icon
  5. Confirm you want to delete the license

delete license

Please understand that deleting a license is not reversible. Once you confirm the deletion process, all sites that had been using that particular license will stop working.

However, note that you can always create new licenses and reactivate the affected sites if necessary.

Deleting the license this way deletes just the child licenses.  This action does not affect your purchase in any way, and you will not lose what you paid for. Even if you delete a license, you will always be available to create new ones; it is not possible to delete your purchase this way.

Even if you do not have access to a site that’s using one of your Coming Soon & Maintenance Mode licenses, you can quickly block that site from the Dashboard.

This action blocks only that site from using the license; it is also possible to delete the entire license.

How to Block a Site?

  1. Go to https://dashboard.comingsoonwp.com/ and log in to your account
  2. Open the “Sites” page
  3. Locate the site you wish to block
  4. Click on the “Block” button from the left side of the screen
  5. Confirm that you want to block the site

By blocking the site,  the license will be immediately returned to the available pool of licenses and the site will be deactivated next time it checks the license.

How to Enable White Label

The White Label feature lets you remove the license key information in the plugin settings and remove all WebFactory branding and logos.

If you would like to rebrand the entire plugin, please see how rebranding works.

Before you can turn on white labeling on a specific site, you have to make sure that the license you’re using on that specific site has the feature turned on.

How to Turn on the White Label feature?

  1. Go to dashboard.comingsoonwp.com and log in
  2. Open the “Licenses” page
  3. Add a New License or Edit an existing one (you can turn on white-labeling on both license types)
  4. On the right-hand side of the screen, locate the Extra Features
  5. Find “White Label” and click on the checkbox
  6. Save Changes by clicking the button at the bottom of the page

Enable White-Label License Mode

Once you’re sure that the license key has the white-label feature turned on, you can proceed to enable it on your site.

Important Note: If you have updated an existing license that was already used to activate the plugin, you will have to go to the License page in the plugin and click the “Save & Reactivate License” key.

  1. Go to Settings -> Coming Soon PRO -> License
  2. On the bottom of the page, find the “Enable White-Label License Mode” button
  3. Click on the button to activate the White-Label feature

white label license mode

Enabling the white-label license mode hides the License and Support tabs and removes visible mentions of WebFactory Ltd. To disable it, append &csmm_wl=false to the Coming Soon settings page URL.

Your link should look like this: https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=maintenance_mode_options&csmm_wl=false

Brands

Unlike White Labeling, Branding allows you to completely change the name of the plugin, logo, and appearance.

That way, you can present Coming Soon & Maintenance Mode as a completely new plugin with your brand colors all over it.

How to Rebrand the Plugin?

  1. Open https://dashboard.comingsoonwp.com/ and log in
  2. Go to the “Brands” page
  3. Click “Add New”

Here’s an example of what a rebranded plugin can look like:

rebranded plugin example

General Plugin Info

A new page will open up that holds all the important information about rebranding. Here, you can edit the details about your brand before applying it to a specific license.

  • Plugin Name – Choose the name of the plugin. It can be anything you want, but we suggest keeping it up to 40 characters, and it must be longer than 3 characters. This name is shown in various locations in the plugin, where there’s enough space, so the short name is not needed.
  • Plugin Short Name – Used in various menus where space is limited. For best results, use an abbreviated name up to 10 characters long.
  • Plugin Site URL – If you want to link the rebranded plugin to your agency site, you can leave the link here.
  • Company Name – Your company’s name. It’s shown in various places in the plugin. Keep it up to 30 characters long.
  • Company Site URL – Your company’s website URL. Write a full URL with the https:// prefix. If needed, leave blank.
  • Note – The note is visible only to you in the dashboard and serves as an organizational aid.

Plugin Visual

Just changing the general info will probably be enough. But if you want a complete rebrand, you will also want to change the plugin visuals. Here, you can add your own logo, change colors, add your own content, and even write custom CSS to change the look of the plugin completely.

  • Main Brand Color – The Plugin admin screen is rebranded based on this color, which is used as an accent color in most places. Click to choose the color or write the hexadecimal value.
  • Logo – drag and drop the file into the box. Best results are achieved with square or wide logos with a height of about 50px. Using just an icon with a 1:1 ratio works well too. When uploading a logo for a brand, please mind these min/max image size values: Height between 32px and 100px
    Width between 32px and 500px
    Max file size 500Kb
  • Custom Admin CSS – Custom CSS for adjusting the look and feel of the plugin admin interface. Write CSS code only. Do not include any <style> tags. By default, when rebranding, the following CSS is added (which you can overwrite):
    .csmm-main-menu li.active > a { border-left: 2px solid #main-brand-color; }<br>.home-box span { border-left: 2px solid #main-brand-color; }<br>.csmm-header { border-top: 3px solid #main-brand-color; }<br>.csmm-tile .csmm-tile-title, .csmm-tile-title + p { border-left: 2px solid #main-brand-color; }<br>.csmm-body { padding: 10px 20px 30px 20px; }
  • Content – This text is shown in the plugin’s support tab. It’s a great place to write about your services and put links to various resources such as videos and FAQs. Most HTML tags are supported.
  • Footer Copyright – Displayed in the plugin admin screen’s footer on the right-hand side. For best results, keep it under 50 characters. A limited set of HTML tags are supported.

Assign the Brand to a license

If you have followed the steps above to create your new brand, everything should be ready. But before you can actually rebrand the plugin, you will need to attach this brand to a license.

  1. Create a new license or edit an existing one
  2. On the right-hand side of the screen, find the “Custom Branding” feature
  3. Select the brand you have just created
  4. Save changes

Please note that if you’re making changes to an existing brand, you will have to re-sync the license. You can do that from the plugin (license tab) or remotely via the dashboard.
